We’ve just passed the 6-month mark with our little Jo-Jo. In that time she’s…
- learned how to walk, crawl, kick a ball, climb, and walk backwards (in that order)
- learned how to play “hard-to-get”. She has only kissed any of us maybe 2 or 3 times TOTAL. If you’re doll, a plastic toy, or a stuffed animal, you get showered with sweet kisses. If you’re a person - you get an “air kiss”. And she knows we want it BAD. I bet she’s holding out for something really, really good.
- developed a great sense of humor. One of her favorite things is to sneak up and ”tickle” people.
- perfected her ability to imitate…machines. Top 3 are the dryer buzzer, the oven timer, and the vaccuum cleaner. No words, just machine sounds. Maybe we should send her to robot school.
- become a complete and total carb lover. Doesn’t it show? She eats most other stuff too, but those carbs are loving her back!! And they said she was seriously underweight when she first got home…ha!
- made all of us in our little family fall deeply and madly in love with her. That minx.
Oh. And she still doesn’t smile for photos. Can’t wait to see what the next 6 months brings! Maybe a grin or two?

February 8th, 2011 at 9:35 am Machine Sounds….now, that’s funny. Reminds me of a David Sedaris story where his sister had a parrot and it did was imitate the coffee pot, timer etc. Love the little carb lover.
